Build the Pyramid! Coins Guide — How to Get Them Fast
How Coins work in Build the Pyramid!: codes for free Coins (FREECODE, UPDATE15, UPGRADES5K), playing the carry loop, and spending well.
Coins are Build the Pyramid!‘s currency layer: the loop pays them out, codes pay them out faster, and spending them is how your character grows beyond what the gym alone gives. This page covers the honest income side — where Coins actually come from — and the spending principles that make them matter. The purchase options themselves are in the upgrades overview.
The fastest Coins in the game: codes
Before any grinding, redeem the codes. Community-reported rewards, with sources dated on the codes page:
- FREECODE — 500 Coins
- UPDATE15 — reportedly 50,000 Coins + 25,000 Strength (the single biggest known payout)
- UPGRADES5K — 5,000 Coins
Those three are tens of thousands of Coins for under a minute of pasting — no carry route competes with that rate. The redemption steps are in how to redeem codes, and new codes tend to arrive with game updates, so re-check the list after each patch.
The steady income: carrying
The loop itself pays. Blocks carried to the shared pyramid convert into Coins alongside the progress they make toward completion — that is the game’s basic exchange rate: effort into currency. Two things raise the rate:
- More blocks per minute, from higher Speed and Strength (the training guide covers the split).
- Completed pyramids, which make you stronger and therefore richer per hour going forward (pyramid completion rewards).
There is no idle income and no shortcut building — the desert pays for motion.
A note on what is verified
The three code rewards above are community-reported and dated; the general statement “carrying pays Coins” is the documented behavior of the game’s economy (it is why codes give Coins at all). Exact Coin payouts per block, and any completion bonuses in currency, are not verified here — where other pages state numbers, they say where those numbers came from, per our about page standard.

Spending principles
Coins only matter at the moment they are spent, and the spending rule is one sentence: buy what raises blocks per minute first. Carrying is the source of every other income, so any purchase that multiplies carrying — stat boosts, capacity, whatever the current shop offers — compounds faster than cosmetic or convenience purchases. The actual lineup of upgrades and a sensible buying order is in the upgrades overview.
If you are deciding between spending and saving early on: the beginner’s guide route spends the code Coins immediately on progression, because early multipliers compound through the rest of the session.
The Coins loop, compressed
Codes fund your opening → carrying grows the balance → spending multiplies carrying → which grows the balance faster. Everything else on this wiki — tips and tricks, training, co-op — is optimization of that cycle. Check the codes page first; the desert pays the rest.
